Bookings are charged at an hourly rate, we do not usually allow bookings before 8am and the hall must be empty and closed by midnight, there are special conditions for events ending after 10pm.
The main hall booking charge has been held down since 2016, but regretfully from 2021 charges will have to be raised slightly to cope with increased running costs. It includes use of the main hall, bar room, kitchen area with small appliances, servery area and stage with PA, plus chairs and tables, wifi, lighting, heating and free parking for approximately 50 cars.
Because of increased costs for maintenance, cleaning and breakage booking/damage deposits have been increased to better reflect the costs of repairs, and replacements. These must be paid in advance and are refundable after the booking in accordance with the conditions of hire.
Persons booking should specify what areas and facilities are needed because this defines what keys are needed.
Alcohol sales. If alcohol is to be sold during an event there are legal requirements (which are out of our control), usually a Temporary Event Notice will be needed from the Borough Council.
We pride ourselves on keeping the hall clean and tidy and ask that users allow time within their booking to make sure it's left clean and tidy ready for the next user by the end of the booked time. We understand that occasionally access may be needed outside the booked hours: For example caterers may prefer to deliver in advance of an event. We will always do our best to accommodate this, but it will be dependent on the needs of other users and other bookings.

To ensure conformity with our licencing conditions and to avoid nuisance to our neighbours
late night parties and bookings are subject to a £200 additional deposit. The hirer must sign to accept personal responsibility for compliance. The compliance form can be viewed on our downloads page.
There are special rates for some exceptional events, for example, overnight camping with all weekend hall use, long bookings of over 12 hours and extra concessions for charity functions.
The court is available from 8am to 10pm and can be booked hourly. Or why not take out an annual subscription which allows unlimited booking? It is advisable to book in advance.
