Betley Bowling Club

Our official name is ‘Betley and District Village Hall Bowling Club’, you don't have to live in Betley, people from a wide area are welcome to play and become members.

Betley’s green, in its lovely village setting just behind the village hall, was developed as a crown green in the late 1980s as part of the extension to village hall activities that was taking place at the time.

The club is now well established with a wide cross section of members supporting four league teams.

End of season

We will be ending our season at the end of September to allow work to improve the green and starting our 2019 season in March 2019.

A game for everyone

Bowls helps people of all ages to keep fit and healthy, enjoy friendly competition and to have an enjoyable social life.

It’s easy to learn. There will always be someone on hand who is able to advise on the basics of the game and how to play, plus from time to time professional coaching sessions are organised.

Social Bowling Sessions

Social bowling sessions are held on Tuesday afternoons (2p.m. to 4p.m.) and Friday evenings (4p.m. to 7p.m.). These friendly, informal sessions allow members to practise and non-members to experience the game in a relaxed social setting.
